The Harbord Diggers Club is currently undergoing a phenomenal transformation, leading the way and building a world-class inter-generational precinct which is set to launch Stage 1 mid-2018.
About the Role...
As the Dock Coordinator, you will ensure that the loading dock is well presented, clean, serviced, compliant, functioning and ensure a safe, efficient and comfortable environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Directly undertake the required aspects of repairs and maintenance activities including programmed and reactive maintenance for the residential complex and correctly record and communicate the progress and completion of those works as required.
Dock supervision to ensure the smooth and effective operations of the loading dock
Direct and coordinate traffic movement
Supervision and assistance in the operation of the waste management streams
Supervision and control of the dock scheduling systems
Maintain a register of any and all vehicles/personnel that enter the loading dock area
Coordinate the movement of all of goods to and from the loading dock to the tenant’s
In conjunction with the site management team establish and maintain effective dock operational procedures
Ensure that the venue loading dock area is maintained and is a safe and secure environment
Assist in the supervision of third party contractors, including monitoring of works on site to ensure they comply with relevant legislative provisions and comply with the site operating procedures.
Ensure positive and effective communication and relationships with all stakeholders
Initiate and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Previous experience in the control and supervision of a loading dock environment • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team • Demonstrated awareness of conditions that affect personnel safety • Safety & Environmental procedures knowledge and experience • Quality & Risk management procedures knowledge well regarded • Club / Retirement Village experience well regarded
